We’ll start at the Under bakery in Mawson, which always has a line for its goodies including the divine cardamon bun. Then we’ll roll to Evoke in Curtin, for their croissants which were named runner-up in the 2025 National Viennoiserie Competition.
Niugini Arabica next door has excellent coffee. Then, we’ll head along the bike path which graces the southern shorelines of Lake Burley Griffin before finishing at Lilette in Dickson.
Most of the route is on separated bike path. There are hills at Deakin and Yarralumla.
Join us for all bakeries three, or just stay for one – you are always welcome on our rides. Feel free to start in Mawson, or meet us along the route..

Cycle Jam is a meetup for anyone who wants to fix or maintain a bicycle. Bring along a bike to fix, or just come along to watch, learn and socialise. Cycle Jam is run by volunteers who will work with you to give you the skills to fix your bike. Cycle Jam is held in a fully equipped bike workshop with free tools and some spare parts. Need help changing a tyre? Need some specialised tools for your beloved steed? Cycle Jam is for beginners and experts alike. Be prepared to have fun and get involved!

Around the Block
Gravel
This is a 50 km mixed-terrain/gravel ride around urban Canberra, organised by Audax Australia Cycling Club Inc. It’s suitable for reasonably fit riders.
Meet in Haig Park at the corner of Girrawheen and Mort Streets, Braddon ACT.
To cover the cost of insurance, there is a $6 charge for Audax members. The total cost for non-members is $21, which includes one month’s membership.

This a 50 km Mixed Terrain or Gravel Ride.
The course circles around Canberra on a mixture of gravel trails, bike paths and public roads.
Participants must be current members of Audax Australia—a temporary 1 month membership is available.
You’ll need a Gravel or Mountain Bike with reasonably wide tyres (35 mm+). A modest time limit for completion applies, based on 12.5 km/h.

Light up your bike and join us for a fun, clockwise loop of the lake, finishing at Canberra’s amazing Enlighten Festival.
While all bikes are welcomed, this event is sure to attract a few of those fun-loving freakbike riders from Canberra’s very own Rat Patrol Oz. Dance beats will be provided by a fantastic cargo (party) bike so we’ll be sure to stop the ride at a couple of spots so you can get your dance on. Limited stocks of free glow sticks and sticky tape will be available at the start of the ride (while stocks last).
If you’re planning to attend Enlighten on Saturday night, this is the best way to get there!
